Music Theory Tuition

Mike Tymoczko teaches and supports music theory learning and development up to and including first degree level.  Music theory is vital for composers and arrangers. Mike has a background in these areas and is keen to make learning about the composition of music fun and interesting so that students can fully explore the boundaries of music. 

Mike’s philosophy is that, if you have a very good grounding in the rudiments of music, you will ultimately become a better performer as well.  For example, understanding how a language works helps make speaking that language easier.
