Mike Tymoczko has been a performer across a wide range of classical, jazz and popular genres for over 35 years. 

 

He has been the highly respected Head and Musical Director of the Expressive Arts Department in a large comprehensive school. Mike can prepare you for ABRSM, Trinity and Rock School examinations in both practical and theory, should you so wish.

 

Double Beat Music’s overarching philosophy is that you should enjoy music making.  If you enjoy the challenges of preparing for examinations, the teacher will support this.  However, if you want to learn to be a jobbing musician in the music industry or just play for enjoyment then we can also accommodate that.

 

Every lesson is tailored to meet your needs, so regardless of ability you will become a confident learner at your own pace.  Double Beat Music believes that, if you are given a firm grounding in knowledge and technique and if you have motivating and inspiring support and encouragement, you will ultimately become a self-motivated musician.
